EAH Newsletter: Covering all the highlights and upcoming events from within EAH
Hey Community ๐
It's been almost a couple of months since our last update so I thought it's worth showing we are alive and giving a bit of an update to what's happening in the background as well as the usual highlight of recent top threads.
๐ทโโ๏ธBen onboarding
So why we've been quiet is mostly down to @Ben Swanson being onboarded, learning everything there is to learn about the industry, accounting tech startups, the EAH approach and absorbing lots of recordings from past startup programmes and events!
Heads up Ben might want to tap into those of you in the UK soon to learn more in a live Zoom session and hopefully meet some of you in person around DAS!
๐ธ EAH Investment
The other main aspect keeping us very busy is on the investment side, where we've been putting a lot of time and energy and making good progress now.
We are looking to close the opportunity for EAH accountants to be involved on the 22nd of March ๐ด
So if anyone in the group we haven't been in touch with would like the opportunity to get involved before we start to go to external investors and close the round do let us know!
๐ Startups
On the startup front, we always have some we are evaluating and talking to in the background, but being busy with the above we haven't spent any effort proactively looking for startups and have limited capacity to service them until things are in place.
So sorry it's been quiet (especially in the UK) but other than the one new startup we are currently working with in AU others are just now starting to progress with their product testing (Tax Torch, FourFourFive and soon Formulr!) so should be starting to get more interesting in coming weeks.
As always if you know any interesting startups/founders that it could be worth us chatting with make sure to say a good word about EAH and send them our way! ๐:skin-tone-2:
The earlier in the journey the better ๐
๐ New members
As everyone knows (I hope!), every once in a while we say goodbye to members who aren't active on Slack or contributing to the work with startups and part ways on friendly terms to make room for some new members keen to join (making sure this stays a community about quality, not quantity).
So keep an eye out on the #intros channel with some new members who should be joining soon!
๐ Top Threads
Finishing with just some top conversations in the last few weeks:
New product launch from- @Jonathan Gaunt
Timesheets debate- @John Toon
Huge & exciting announcement from- @Rachel Fisch
Processing payroll & supplier payments for clients (available in Ireland!)- @Richie Lennon
And of course a few other great topics in the country-specific channels! ๐
That's it for now!
Cheers, Yohan
