EAH Slack Wrap-Up - 8 June '23

Appreciate there are a tonne of people who are flat out right now, so just a short #newsletter for you all...

💡 EAH Pitch Night (Idea)

We are playing around with an idea... a startup pitch roast 🍖 and we are keen to get your initial thoughts!

The premise is quite simple:

• Pre-revenue startups apply

• We review all applications

• Most promising ideas get to pitch

• This pitch would be to a closed group of EAHers who have proven their ability to roast (constructively)!

• Feedback partly on the call, partly via survey (so you can be anonymous if you need to be)

The outcome:

• The best pitch wins an award for "most promising startup idea" + is invited to continue the journey with you guys more formally

• And they all learn a lot, very quickly!

Part of our thinking is that this might get a few founders out of the woodwork who otherwise might not apply for our programmes. And give us (as an EAH community) the opportunity to see what's coming, and show the value we can provide as a group - when it comes to rapid research + feedback 🤘

Secondly, we just think it might be a bit of fun for you guys, and bring something new to the industry - something that might inspire some new cool tech!

This idea is now on the table to be roasted itself 🔥so if you have any feedback post it in the #newsletter. Everything is welcome!

UK - DAS Meetup

• Hope everyone who attends has an awesome time!

• As a reminder, Yohan's pre-DAS drinks will kick-off @ 5pm at Flat Iron Square (be there, or be a flat iron square)

• Looking forward to seeing photos of everything that goes on (once again, wishing I was there)

AU/NZ - Xerocon Meetup

• No update, but still really looking forward to catching up with everyone then!

• Looks like we'll have a great turnout

UK - September Lunch

• I dropped a note about a UK lunch in London in September

• I will be in town for a few days and would love to catch up with as many of you as I can in that short stint

• We have close to 10 coming atm (accountants + founders), but if you're keen drop over to #uk-adopters and just comment on the post
